Welcome to the Florida Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers. New (4-03-08): PTRA Summer Workshop at Santa Fe Community College Spring Meeting: The Spring 2008 meeting of the Florida section of the AAPT will be held on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 at South Florida Community College in Avon Park. Hotel reservations have been made at the Hotel Jacaranda 19 East Main Street, Avon Park, FL 33825 . A discounted rate of $62.95 (including continental breakfast) is available to people identifying themselves as part of FL-AAPT. The cutoff date for the rate is 4/01/2008. The objectives of the Association are to advance the teaching of physics, to further appreciation of the role of physics in our culture, and to enhance effective communication among those concerned with the teaching of physics at all levels.
